Terms of Service

Last updated: May 30, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Callkeep. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact us at support@callkeep.ca with any questions.

About Callkeep

Callkeep provides a cloud voicemail and call-answering service for small businesses across Canada.

Account and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and operating in Canada to use Callkeep. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep your password or Google account secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.

Subscription, trial, and billing

Free trial.Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. We require a payment method to start the trial, but we don’t charge you until day 15.

Pricing. Current pricing is on callkeep.ca/pricing. You choose monthly or annual billing. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime through the in-app billing portal — your subscription stays active until the end of the current period, then stops.

Refunds.Annual subscriptions can be refunded prorated for unused months if you cancel within the first 30 days. Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable after the trial ends. We may refund at our discretion if there’s a service outage or issue.

Failed payments. If we can’t charge your card after 14 days of attempts, we may suspend your service until payment is resolved.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Callkeep for illegal activity, harassment, or fraud
  • Forward calls in ways that violate your existing carrier’s terms
  • Resell access to your Callkeep account or numbers
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service
  • Use Callkeep numbers as the destination for robocalls, spam, or call-spoofing
  • Configure forwarding loops (e.g., forward Callkeep → Callkeep)

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Phone numbers

The Callkeep number assigned to your account is yours to use while your subscription is active. If your subscription ends (cancellation, non-payment, suspension) the number is released back to the carrier and may be reassigned. We can’t guarantee retention beyond the active subscription.

Your content

Voicemails left by your callers, greetings you set up, and forwarding rules you configure are yours. We process them only to deliver the service.

You’re responsible for complying with applicable wiretap and consent-to-record laws in the jurisdictions of your callers. Most Canadian provinces require only one-party consent for recording; some U.S. states require two-party consent. Your greeting should reasonably notify callers that voicemails will be recorded.

Service availability

We target 99.9% uptime but don’t guarantee it. We rely on Twilio, Supabase, Vercel, and other providers; outages in their services can interrupt Callkeep. We are not liable for missed calls during outages.

Disclaimers

Callkeep is provided as is. We make no warranty about specific business results, deliverability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Voicemail transcription is best-effort and may contain errors.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, missed business, or damages arising from voicemails not being delivered.

Termination

You may cancel at any time through the in-app billing portal. We may terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or if continuing service becomes infeasible. For non-violation terminations we’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice.

On termination, your voicemails and call logs are deleted within 30 days. We retain billing records as required by Canadian tax law.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
